Taal Volcano in Batangas province continued its pattern of volcanic tremors on Thursday, October 29, according to data released by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). The volcano recorded eight earthquakes over the preceding 24-hour period, the agency said in its morning bulletin.
While seismic activity persisted, the latest count represented a decline from the previous day's readings, when Phivolcs documented 13 volcanic earthquakes at the same location. The reduction in earthquake frequency may suggest a slight easing of conditions at the volcano, though monitoring continues.
Phivolcs maintains ongoing surveillance of Taal Volcano, one of the Philippines' most active and closely monitored volcanic systems. The agency regularly issues bulletins tracking seismic activity and other volcanic parameters to inform public safety decisions.
