KUALA LUMPUR — Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has achieved record income of RM4.64 billion, marking the highest financial returns in eight years as its investment portfolio continues to deliver positive results, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Zulkifli Hasan announced on Saturday.

The pilgrim fund's latest dividend payout represents its largest distribution to account holders since 2016, reflecting improved returns from both new and existing investment initiatives. The announcement underscores a significant turnaround in TH's financial health following recent governance reforms aimed at strengthening the institution's operational framework.

Zulkifli attributed the improved performance to enhanced management practices and a more robust governance structure implemented across the organisation. The minister noted that the positive results demonstrate the effectiveness of recent strategic initiatives designed to maximise returns for TH's 8.8 million contributors.

The financial milestone comes as TH continues to expand its investment reach across multiple sectors and asset classes. The lender's focus on diversification and prudent fund management has helped shield its portfolio from market volatility while maintaining steady growth for account holders.

TH officials have indicated that the organisation remains committed to delivering sustainable returns and strengthening the financial security of Malaysia's hajj pilgrims. The institution is expected to continue implementing governance improvements to ensure long-term stability and growth.
