Taiwan's government has reaffirmed its intention to maintain close coordination with the United States regarding military assistance, following Washington's approval of a defence package valued at approximately S$14 billion in December.
The commitment reflects Taipei's strategy of sustaining robust defence capabilities while deepening its strategic partnership with the United States. Regular consultations between Taiwanese and American officials are expected to cover equipment deliveries, training requirements, and evolving security needs in the Taiwan Strait.
