Tamil Nadu academics challenge private universities bill over commercialisation fears

Educators representing multiple teacher associations in Tamil Nadu have raised concerns over the Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2026, arguing that its passage would fundamentally alter the landscape of higher education in the state.
