The Tamil Nadu State Board of Secondary Education has announced the examination schedule for the 2027 academic cycle, providing students and educational institutions with clarity on key assessment dates. Class 12 board examinations will commence on March 3, 2027, allowing senior secondary students nearly a month to prepare their final assessments.
Class 10 board examinations will take place from March 17, 2027 onwards, providing a structured timeline for secondary students to complete their mandatory evaluations. The staggered schedule enables schools and examination centers to manage administrative arrangements and ensure smooth conduct of assessments across the state.
The board has also scheduled Class 11 arrear examinations—assessments for students who may not have cleared certain subjects in their previous attempt—to run from March 5 through April 1, 2027. This window allows students the opportunity to clear pending coursework and progress to the next academic level.
The announcement provides educational institutions and students with sufficient notice to complete their preparation and revision cycles. Schools are expected to conclude regular teaching schedules well ahead of the examination dates to allow for focused revision periods across all classes.
