Tamil Nadu CM Vijay moves into new official residence on Greenways Road

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has shifted to a new official residence situated on Greenways Road in Chennai, marking a change in the state's administrative setup. The new residence is strategically located approximately nine kilometres from the Secretariat, a considerable reduction from the previous distance.

The relocation is primarily aimed at improving operational efficiency by minimising travel time for the chief minister between his official residence and the seat of state government. This geographical advantage is expected to facilitate better coordination between the CM's office and various departments housed at the Secretariat.

The Greenways Road location has served as the official residence of Tamil Nadu's chief ministers and represents a key administrative facility in Chennai's governance infrastructure. The shift comes as part of routine administrative arrangements undertaken to optimize the functioning of the state government.

Official sources indicated that the transition has been completed as part of established protocols governing the chief minister's official residence and workspace management.
