The Tamil Nadu Congress and its allied Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) are ramping up organisational efforts to ensure a strong show of strength at an INDIA bloc protest scheduled for November 1 in the national capital.
According to Congress MP R. Sudha, the opposition alliance anticipates mobilising over five lakh party workers from across the country for the demonstration. From Tamil Nadu alone, the party aims to deploy a minimum of 100 cadres from each district to participate in the New Delhi event.
The coordination between the Congress and VCK underscores the alliance's push to consolidate anti-government sentiment ahead of what party sources describe as a critical political moment. The November 1 rally represents a significant show of force by the INDIA bloc, which brings together multiple regional and national opposition parties.
Tamil Nadu, traditionally a stronghold for opposition parties, is expected to play a substantial role in mobilising participants for the demonstration. The state's contribution reflects the Congress and VCK's commitment to strengthening the broader INDIA coalition's political messaging and electoral prospects in the coming period.
