Minister K.G. Arunraj on Wednesday linked the Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) party's strong performance in recent bypoll elections to its administrative track record since taking office. Arunraj, who holds the Health portfolio, suggested that the election outcomes reflected public confidence in the government's performance over the past four months.
Addressing concerns over protests staged by mid-level health workers in the state, Arunraj advised the agitating workers to follow established procedures for grievance redressal. He stated that workers should formally submit their demands to either his office or the Health Department Secretary before resorting to agitation, emphasizing the importance of institutional channels for addressing workplace concerns.
The minister's comments come amid broader political developments in Tamil Nadu following the recent bypoll victories. Officials have attributed the electoral performance to improved governance and welfare initiatives rolled out since the government assumed office.
