Tamil Nadu Opposition bid to destabilise TVK government, says Tagore

A prominent Tamil Nadu legislator on Monday charged that opposition parties were engaged in a coordinated effort to destabilise the TVK-led government through disruptive tactics and inflammatory rhetoric. Manickam Tagore alleged that opposition groups were deliberately attempting to sow uncertainty in the state, thereby hampering crucial developmental initiatives.

Tagore contended that instead of constructively engaging with governance issues, opposition leaders were resorting to obstructionist tactics aimed at undermining public confidence in the administration. He argued that such actions were counterproductive to the state's progress and development objectives.

The allegation reflects growing friction between the ruling coalition and opposition ranks in Tamil Nadu. Political observers have noted increasing confrontations between government and opposition benches over policy implementation and resource allocation.

The TVK-led administration has prioritised various development programmes since assuming office, with government officials frequently asserting that opposition resistance was impeding smooth implementation of welfare and infrastructure schemes across the state.
