Tamil Nadu ramps up financial support for women-led business ventures

The Tamil Nadu government has intensified its push to support women-headed enterprises through an enhanced financing programme that makes capital more accessible to female business owners across the state.

Under the 'Vetri Magalir Thozhilmunaivor Membattu Thittam' scheme, eligible women entrepreneurs can secure loans ranging from ₹10 lakh to ₹5 crore through the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation. The expanded funding window is designed to remove financial barriers that have historically limited women's access to capital for starting or scaling business operations.
