Tampines Rovers cruise past Tanjong Pagar with dominant second-half display

The hosts put on a clinical performance at Tampines Stadium, with the bulk of their attacking play concentrated in the second half to overwhelm their struggling opponents. The emphatic scoreline leaves Tampines well-positioned after two rounds of league fixtures, signalling early intent in their campaign for the championship.

Tanjong Pagar United offered limited resistance throughout the contest, with their defensive frailties exposed as Tampines' attacking players found space with increasing regularity after the interval. The four-goal margin represents a statement of quality from the defending champions' rivals as the season gathers momentum.

The victory consolidates Tampines' early momentum and places them among the frontrunners in what is shaping up to be a competitive season in Singapore's top division. Their next fixtures will determine whether they can sustain this form and maintain their position at the upper end of the table.
