Tanushree Dutta posted a message on social media following reports of veteran actor Nana Patekar's death, sharing a post with the Hindi phrase "Jo Guzar Chuke Hain" (Those who have passed). The actress did not elaborate further on her reaction to the actor's demise.

Dutta's statement comes amid ongoing public interest in her case against Patekar, which became a watershed moment for India's #MeToo movement. In 2018, Dutta publicly accused Patekar of subjecting her to sexual harassment and intimidation during the filming of the 2009 movie "Horn 'Ok' Pleassss," allegations that sparked widespread conversations about workplace misconduct in the Indian film industry.

The actress had initially made allegations against Patekar over a decade after the film's release, reigniting scrutiny of sexual harassment in Bollywood. Her account resonated with numerous other women in the entertainment industry and beyond, who subsequently came forward with their own stories of workplace harassment and abuse.

Patekar had previously denied Dutta's allegations. The actor's death marks the end of a chapter in one of India's most significant cultural reckonings regarding workplace sexual harassment.
