Tata Boeing reaches 400th Apache fuselage milestone at Hyderabad facility

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) has achieved a significant production milestone with the rollout of the 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter at its facility in Hyderabad, marking a major success for India's defence manufacturing sector.

The fuselages manufactured at TBAL's 52,000 square-meter state-of-the-art facility are supplied to Boeing for final aircraft assembly and integration, with deliveries reaching military operators worldwide including the United States Army. The Indian military has also benefited from this partnership, with six Apache helicopters delivered to the Indian Army in 2025 and a fleet of 22 AH-64E Apaches currently operated by the Indian Air Force.

Established in 2016 as a joint venture between aerospace giant Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited, TBAL has grown to employ more than 750 engineers and technicians. The facility leverages advanced manufacturing technologies and robotics to produce components for one of the world's most advanced attack helicopter platforms.

The achievement underscores India's growing capabilities in high-precision defence manufacturing and its role in global aerospace supply chains. TBAL's production capacity and technical expertise have positioned the company as a key supplier for critical defence platforms serving multiple nations.
