Tata Projects, Canadian firm join forces on aero-engine testing facility

Tata Projects announced on Monday a strategic collaboration with MDS Aero Support Corporation to establish world-class aero-engine testing facilities within India. The partnership aims to strengthen the country's aerospace and propulsion sectors by developing specialized testing infrastructure to support ongoing technological advancement and innovation.

Under the arrangement, Tata Projects will undertake responsibility for core infrastructure development, including civil and structural construction, mechanical-electrical-plumbing systems, high-pressure air networks, heating-ventilation-air-conditioning installations, high-temperature exhaust management systems, and cooling-water infrastructure. The company will also oversee associated site facilities and integrated systems.

MDS Aero Support Corporation brings specialized technical knowledge in designing, engineering, and deploying advanced gas turbine engine testing facilities. The Canadian firm will provide comprehensive support across system integration, facility commissioning, and long-term lifecycle maintenance services.

The initiative reflects India's growing ambitions in aerospace manufacturing and engine development. By combining Tata Projects' domestic infrastructure capabilities with MDS Aero Support's international technical expertise, the partnership positions India to support increasingly sophisticated propulsion technology development within the region.
