Tata Steel, Netherlands extend green steel project timeline to 2027

Tata Steel and the Dutch government have agreed to extend their Joint Letter of Intent (JLoI) covering a major green steel project, with the new timeline now extending through 2027. The five-month extension was announced to facilitate ongoing discussions between the steelmaker and authorities on key aspects of the proposed facility. The project aims to establish an integrated health and decarbonisation initiative that would position the Netherlands as a hub for sustainable steel production.
