Tay Ninh province plans major logistics and retail expansion through 2030

Tay Ninh province is pursuing an aggressive strategy to attract investment in logistics and retail infrastructure over the next six years, according to provincial development plans. Officials aim to establish at least three dedicated logistics centres by 2030, alongside two wholesale markets and between three to five shopping malls and supermarkets across the province.

The infrastructure push reflects Tay Ninh's broader efforts to modernise its commercial capabilities and capitalise on its strategic location within Vietnam's southern economic corridor. By expanding logistics capacity and retail networks, provincial authorities seek to improve the efficiency of goods distribution and strengthen the region's position in regional and international supply chains.

The planned facilities are expected to support both domestic commerce and cross-border trade, positioning the province as a key commercial hub in the Mekong Delta region. Officials have previously signalled interest in attracting foreign investment in high-value industries and expanding industrial zones to complement the commercial infrastructure expansion.

The logistics and retail investment programme represents one component of Tay Ninh's broader economic diversification strategy aimed at driving sustainable growth and employment in the province.
