Tay Ninh ramps up industrial zones to bolster foreign investment

Tay Ninh province is pursuing an expansion of its industrial zones as part of a broader strategy to attract increased foreign direct investment and consolidate its standing among Vietnam's leading FDI destinations.

The province has established a substantial investment portfolio, with 3,234 domestic projects representing nearly 800 trillion VND in registered capital, according to official data. Its foreign investment base is equally robust, comprising 2,152 FDI projects valued at more than 27 billion USD. These figures position Tay Ninh seventh nationally in FDI attraction capacity.

The industrial space expansion initiative aligns with Vietnam's wider push to secure higher-quality foreign investment flows. Other provincial authorities, including those in Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, are similarly directing FDI toward high-tech manufacturing and advanced sectors. The strategy reflects a shift away from labor-intensive industries toward knowledge-based production.

Tay Ninh's move comes as foreign direct investment disbursements have reached five-year highs across Vietnam, signaling sustained international confidence in the country's business environment. The province's expanded industrial infrastructure is intended to capture a larger share of this investment momentum.
