Tay Ninh provincial authorities are intensifying efforts to draw Japanese investment into knowledge-intensive and high-value industries, building on decades of successful bilateral business ties. According to Le Van Han, chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Japan represents a dependable and long-term partner for regional economic development.
Japanese enterprises have channeled more than $1.4 billion into Tay Ninh's economy, establishing the province as a favored destination for major Asian investors. These investments have catalyzed robust economic expansion, workforce development initiatives, and the transfer of advanced management methodologies across multiple sectors.
The provincial government's renewed investment drive comes as Tay Ninh expands its industrial capacity and infrastructure to accommodate growing manufacturing demand. Officials aim to leverage the province's existing advantages—including proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, a skilled labor pool, and established industrial zones—to attract premium Japanese manufacturers and technology companies.
The initiative aligns with broader Vietnamese efforts to strengthen economic cooperation with Japan, a key trading partner and source of foreign direct investment. Tay Ninh's approach reflects regional competition to secure high-quality foreign investment amid Vietnam's continued economic liberalization and industrial modernization.
