Tay Ninh targets stronger growth as economy powers ahead regionally

Tay Ninh's robust economic performance has caught the attention of national leadership, with the Standing Deputy Prime Minister calling on the province to sustain its growth trajectory through year-end. The 10.3% expansion recorded through September ranks the province 10th nationwide among 34 cities and provinces, and tops performance across the southern region.

Growth has been broadly distributed across the provincial economy. The industrial and construction sector led expansion with 14% growth, while trade and services advanced 8.49%. The agriculture, forestry and fisheries segment expanded 3.23%, contributing to the diversified economic base.

To achieve its full-year target of 10.5%, Tay Ninh is pursuing multiple development strategies. Provincial authorities are working to unlock sustainable agricultural development and expand industrial zones to attract additional investment. These efforts aim to capitalize on existing momentum while addressing emerging opportunities in key economic sectors.

The province's performance reflects broader economic strength in southern Vietnam, where several regions are posting double-digit growth rates. Tay Ninh's success in balancing industrial expansion with agricultural productivity suggests a more diversified growth model compared to some neighboring provinces.
