Tay Ninh, Vinh Long seek expanded trade ties with Hong Kong

Tay Ninh and Vinh Long provinces have identified Hong Kong as a strategic partner to accelerate regional economic development, according to recent discussions on bilateral cooperation. Each province brings distinct competitive advantages to potential partnerships, including agricultural production capabilities and growing manufacturing sectors.

Hong Kong's role as an international financial and logistics hub positions it as an attractive partner for Vietnamese provinces seeking to expand beyond domestic markets. The territory offers established financial services, advanced logistics infrastructure and professional expertise that could facilitate Vietnamese businesses accessing broader Asian markets.

Potential collaboration areas include food processing and agricultural exports, particularly leveraging the Mekong Delta's agricultural output. Additional opportunities span infrastructure development, trade facilitation and supply chain optimization to enhance competitiveness of Vietnamese products in regional and international markets.

The initiative reflects broader efforts by Vietnamese provinces to strengthen ties with major Asian economic centers. Such partnerships align with Vietnam's regional integration strategy and efforts to diversify trading relationships across Southeast and East Asia.
