Teen dies from injuries sustained in Kotahena stabbing attack
An 18-year-old youth from Wellampitiya has died at Colombo National Hospital following a sharp weapon attack in the Kotahena area. Police are investigating the incident, which occurred on the night of September 14.

The teenager was brought to the hospital with serious injuries after the late-night assault in Kotahena. Medical staff were unable to save the youth despite treatment efforts, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival or shortly thereafter.
Police have launched a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the motive behind the stabbing or identified any suspects in connection with the incident.
