Telangana CM demands BRS leader's apology for Speaker remarks

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday demanded an apology from a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislator for remarks made against Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, asserting that the Speaker's office held a constitutional position warranting the same respect afforded to any other member of the House.

The Chief Minister's statement came in response to alleged derogatory comments made by the BRS Member of the Legislative Council. Reddy emphasized that the Speaker's role, being a constitutional position, should not be subjected to disrespectful remarks regardless of political differences between parties.

The CM also suggested that the BRS party consider terminating the legislator's membership in light of the controversial statements.
