Telangana CM pitches Hyderabad as hub for Hyundai's manufacturing operations

The Telangana Chief Minister has actively promoted Hyderabad's industrial infrastructure and business environment to Hyundai Motor India Engineering (HMIE) as a potential site for the company's manufacturing operations. The pitch highlights the city's established automotive ecosystem and favorable conditions for large-scale industrial investment in the sector.

During recent interactions, HMIE officials briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of their integrated Global Research and Development facility located at the National Industrial Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad, approximately 90 kilometers from Hyderabad. The facility represents a significant investment in automotive innovation and engineering capabilities in the region.

The NIMZ development in Zaheerabad has emerged as a focal point for automotive and advanced manufacturing industries in Telangana. The establishment of HMIE's R&D hub underscores the state's growing appeal to international automotive manufacturers seeking locations for technology-intensive operations and production facilities.

Telangana has positioned itself as a major automotive hub in India, with the state already hosting numerous manufacturing units and component suppliers for leading global and domestic vehicle makers. The state government's consistent focus on infrastructure development and business-friendly policies continues to attract fresh investments from the automotive sector.
