Telangana ensures free power supply for Ganesh Pandal festivities

The Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (SPDCL) has confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place to offer free electrical supply to Ganesh pandals across Telangana during the festival season. CMD Jitesh Patil visited prominent pandal locations, including those at Khairatabad and Balapur, to oversee the power infrastructure preparations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
The inspection focused on verifying adequate electrical connections, distribution equipment, and backup arrangements at the major pandal sites. Officials reviewed power load requirements and assessed the capacity of transformers and distribution lines to handle increased demand during the festive period.
Telangana's power distribution authority has streamlined its processes to facilitate hassle-free connections for pandal organizers. The move reflects the state's commitment to supporting cultural and religious celebrations while ensuring reliable power supply infrastructure.
