Telangana government accused of undervaluing land transfer to private developer

The opposition Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has leveled accusations against the Telangana government over what it characterizes as a severely undervalued land transfer in the Azamabad area. According to the party's claims, the state is preparing to hand over land assessed at around ₹500 crore to a private enterprise for a transaction value of ₹87 crore, representing a significant gap between estimated market value and the agreed price.

The alleged transaction has drawn scrutiny from the regional opposition party, which contends the arrangement amounts to a substantial loss of public assets. BRS officials argue that such a transfer at a fraction of the land's purported value constitutes poor stewardship of state resources and warrants immediate clarification from government authorities.

The Telangana government has not yet issued an official statement responding to the allegations.
