Ten individuals have been charged in separate cases involving false declarations connected to CPF or salary contributions, according to enforcement actions taken by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower. The charges relate to individuals who allegedly submitted incorrect information regarding employment and contribution records to the CPF system. The cases underscore ongoing concerns about fraudulent schemes targeting Singapore's mandatory savings programme. The MOM has emphasised that members of the public should exercise caution and not accept CPF contributions from employers with whom they do not have a genuine employment relationship. Such arrangements may constitute fraud and expose participants to legal liability. The ministry stressed that legitimate CPF contributions should only be made by actual employers on behalf of employees actively working for them. Individuals found guilty of making false declarations related to CPF contributions face potential criminal penalties. The MOM has urged workers to verify employment arrangements and contribution records through official CPF channels and to report any suspicious activities to authorities.
