The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Thailand conducted a thorough examination of enoki mushroom shipments entering Thai ports and markets, finding no evidence of unsafe or substandard products from affected sources.
The inspection was part of broader regional monitoring efforts as several countries reported quality issues with certain enoki mushroom batches from overseas suppliers. Thai officials implemented enhanced screening protocols at border checkpoints and major distribution centers to ensure consumer safety.
Food safety officials said they remain vigilant in monitoring fresh produce imports, particularly items known to have faced contamination risks internationally. The FDA urged importers and retailers to maintain strict compliance with food safety standards and proper documentation for all agricultural imports.
Thailand's proactive stance reflects continued commitment to protecting consumers and maintaining the integrity of the domestic food supply. Authorities advised the public that stringent quality checks remain in place for all imported vegetables and mushroom products distributed through official channels.
