Thane to implement traffic curbs for Eid-e-Milad celebrations on August 26

The Thane Traffic Police Department has put in place an extensive traffic management plan to facilitate smooth passage of Eid-e-Milad processions while minimizing disruption to general commuters. The restrictions will span five divisions across the city, with specific road closures and diversions coming into effect on August 26.

Route diversions have been chalked out to redirect vehicular traffic away from procession routes, while parking restrictions will be enforced in identified zones to prevent congestion. Commuters are being urged to avoid affected areas during peak procession hours and to utilise alternate roads where possible.

The traffic police have not specified exact timings or the precise locations of all diversions, though residents and daily commuters are expected to remain updated through official channels. Authorities have advised residents and businesses in the affected divisions to make necessary arrangements in advance to ensure minimal disruption to their activities.
