Third earthquake rattles Malaysia's Batu Pahat in recent months
A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck southwestern Johor on Wednesday, marking the third seismic event to hit the Batu Pahat area since June. Authorities said there is no tsunami threat from the tremor.

The earthquake was centred approximately 27 kilometres southwest of Batu Pahat, a town in the southern Malaysian state of Johor. The temblor was classified as weak and caused no immediate reports of damage or injuries in the region.
