KUALA LUMPUR: Three local actors have been released on police bail after being questioned by Bukit Aman in connection with a viral video clip featuring the Rukun Negara, the national pledge, according to a statement released Wednesday.
The actors were detained for questioning regarding their involvement in the video, which circulated widely on social media platforms. The clip, which resurfaced recently, dates back to 2018 and prompted authorities to launch an investigation into its origins and distribution.
Police have not disclosed the identities of those released on bail, citing ongoing investigations. However, investigators have confirmed that the three actors cooperated fully during their questioning and are assisting authorities with their inquiries.
