Three arrested with 600 narcotic tablets in Tamil Nadu

Law enforcement officials in Arakkonam have arrested three persons in connection with the illegal possession and trafficking of narcotic tablets. According to police, the suspects were apprehended while attempting to transport approximately 600 narcotic tablets to Chennai, where they allegedly intended to sell the contraband in smaller quantities.

The arrests were made as the gang was heading towards the railway station to travel to Chennai. Officers intercepted the group before they could reach their intended destination, preventing what authorities described as a retail distribution operation.

The seized narcotic tablets have been secured as evidence, and an investigation into the matter is underway. Police are working to establish the source of the narcotics and identify any additional individuals involved in the trafficking network.

The arrests come as law enforcement agencies across Tamil Nadu continue intensified efforts to combat drug trafficking. The case has been registered and the suspects are currently in police custody pending further investigation and legal proceedings.
