CALASIAO, Pangasinan – Three people died after a motorboat capsized in a river crossing Binmaley town, police reported. The vessel was carrying 13 passengers when water suddenly began entering the craft while navigating the Camaley-Balogo River, triggering panic among those on board. The sudden influx of water forced passengers to jump into the river in a desperate attempt to survive.
Local police said the three victims' remains were recovered on Sunday, the day after the incident occurred. Rescue teams worked through the night to locate and retrieve the bodies. The circumstances that led to water breaching the motorboat's hull remain under investigation.
