The accident occurred in the early morning hours on a highway traversing Vietnam's Central Highlands region. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the bus had overturned, trapping and injuring numerous passengers aboard the vehicle.

Rescue teams worked to extricate victims from the wreckage. Three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, while around 20 others sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. The injured were evacuated to nearby hospitals for medical care and observation.

The bus was carrying a total of 33 people at the time of the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the overturning, examining factors such as speed, road conditions, and mechanical failure.
