LUCENA CITY — Three armed men surrendered to police following an armed confrontation in Rosario town, Batangas, on Tuesday night, according to the Police Regional Office 4A.
The incident unfolded when four police officers responded to a complaint about gunfire in Barangay Natu at approximately 8 p.m. The three men, who had been drinking and allegedly causing disturbances in the area, fired at the responding officers upon their arrival.
After an exchange of gunfire, the armed men eventually surrendered to police. No casualties among the police officers were reported from the encounter.
The Police Regional Office 4A provided details of the incident in a report released Wednesday, noting that the situation was resolved without further escalation following the suspects' surrender.
