Three hospitalised after bedroom fire in Bukit Panjang HDB block
The Singapore Civil Defence Force contained a fire to a ninth-floor bedroom unit on Tuesday, with 100 residents evacuated from the block as a precaution.

Three individuals were transported to hospital following a residential fire at a Housing and Development Board block in Bukit Panjang on Tuesday. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers responded swiftly to contain the blaze to a single bedroom within a ninth-floor unit, preventing its spread to adjacent areas.
Approximately 100 residents from the block were evacuated as a safety measure while SCDF personnel worked to extinguish the fire. The evacuation ensured the safety of occupants in neighbouring units whilst firefighting efforts were underway.
The three individuals who were hospitalised are receiving medical attention for injuries sustained in the incident. The SCDF has not disclosed additional details regarding the severity of their conditions or the cause of the fire at this stage.
