Emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the Yishun area on Wednesday involving at least two public buses. The incident occurred when one bus was struck from behind in what witnesses described as a chain-reaction crash. The force of the impact was sufficient to cause one of the vehicles to leave the roadway and mount the adjacent kerb. Five passengers aboard the affected bus sustained injuries from the collision and were assessed at the scene. Three individuals were subsequently conveyed to hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment. The Singapore Police Force and traffic management authorities attended the scene to conduct investigations and manage traffic flow in the affected area. Preliminary inquiries suggest the accident resulted from inadequate spacing between vehicles, though a full investigation remains ongoing. Commuters in the Yishun area experienced temporary delays as emergency services cleared the scene and conducted their assessment.
