Three Indians rescued from Nepal floods; 1,907 safely exit China

Three Indian nationals, including a young child, have been rescued from the Trishuli Bazaar area of Nepal following severe flooding in the region. Among those rescued was a five-year-old, bringing relief to families affected by the natural disaster unfolding across South Asia.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed the successful extraction of the stranded Indians, underscoring New Delhi's continued focus on ensuring the safety of its citizens abroad during the crisis.

Separately, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted significant progress in coordinating the safe passage of Indian nationals from affected regions. A total of 1,907 Indians have successfully crossed from China into Nepal, reflecting coordinated evacuation efforts between Indian authorities and neighbouring countries.

The flooding has affected multiple regions across Nepal and the broader South Asian region, prompting emergency response measures by neighbouring governments. India's diplomatic missions have been actively engaged in monitoring the situation and facilitating the movement of citizens to safety.

Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the disaster and coordinate further assistance as needed.
