Three killed, four wounded in Detroit strip club shooting

Three people were fatally shot and four others wounded when an argument turned violent at an after-hours strip club in Detroit on Sunday morning, according to police officials. Officers responding to the incident at 7:21 am discovered three men with fatal gunshot wounds, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said at a press conference. Four additional victims—two men and two women—were transported to nearby hospitals by private vehicles. None of the injured are believed to have sustained life-threatening injuries. All victims are believed to be in their 20s and 30s, Bettison said. "A fight occurred, an altercation occurred, and as a result individuals decided to settle it with gun violence," the police chief stated. The shooting took place on a largely residential street in the city. Police records indicate the location has generated seven calls for service in 2024 alone. Bettison noted that investigators have identified leads in the case but declined to provide additional details. The department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
