The victims have been identified as Eyas, a resident of Coorg in Karnataka; Gopika from Mannarkkad in Palakkad district; and Devika from Wayanad. All three were employed at an antique shop located in Thrikkakara, Kochi.

According to preliminary reports, the collision occurred when a car traveling at high speed struck the motorcycle carrying the three victims. The impact of the crash left all three fatally injured.

Police have registered a case against the car driver and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident. Authorities are examining factors including vehicle speed, road conditions, and driver conduct as part of their ongoing probe.

The incident has renewed concerns about traffic safety and rash driving on city roads. Kochi traffic police have intensified awareness campaigns in recent months following a rise in accidents involving speeding vehicles.
