Three states get new police chiefs as Esscom commander also set for appointment

Senior leadership positions within the Royal Malaysian Police have been reshuffled with three state police chiefs being replaced. Police headquarters at Bukit Aman confirmed that the changes affect the police contingents in Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak, though specific details regarding the new appointees were not immediately disclosed. The reshuffle comes as part of a routine rotation of senior command positions within the force. In a related development, Bukit Aman said a new commander for the Eastern Sabah Security Command, or Esscom, will be announced next week. Esscom is a specialised formation responsible for security operations in the eastern region of Sabah, an area often dealing with cross-border security challenges. The appointment of the new Esscom commander is expected to provide continuity in the command of security operations in the eastern corridor of Malaysian territory on Borneo.
