Thrissur collector orders safety review of accident-prone highway stretches

The Thrissur district collector has initiated an immediate safety assessment of high-risk highway corridors in the district, directing a coordinated team of agencies to identify and document hazardous road conditions. The move comes in response to mounting concerns about traffic safety on key national routes passing through the region.

The multi-agency inspection will focus on sections of highways that have been identified as particularly prone to accidents. Officials will examine infrastructure issues, road markings, signage visibility, and other safety-related factors that may contribute to vehicular incidents.
