The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm advisory Tuesday morning, alerting residents of two major provinces to prepare for deteriorating weather conditions.

According to the alert released at 7:35 a.m., moderate to heavy rainshowers accompanied by lightning and strong winds are forecast to affect select areas in Laguna and Quezon throughout the morning hours.

Pagasa typically advises residents in thunderstorm-affected zones to secure loose outdoor objects, avoid outdoor activities, and stay away from coastal areas where rough seas may develop. The weather bureau recommends monitoring official updates for the latest forecasts and warnings.

The thunderstorm is part of the region's typical weather patterns during the season. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and take necessary safety measures until conditions improve.
