Tilak Varma Relishing Vice-Captaincy Duties in India's T20I Setup

Tilak Varma has indicated his contentment with the vice-captaincy role assigned to him within India's T20 International squad. The talented middle-order batter has emphasized that he is finding the leadership position fulfilling and meaningful.

Working in close coordination with captain Shreyas Iyer, Varma has been leveraging his on-field presence to offer tactical inputs and guidance during T20I encounters. His involvement in the decision-making process has been a key aspect of his duties as vice-captain.

The appointment reflects the Indian cricket board's confidence in Varma's cricketing acumen and maturity despite his relatively early stage in his international career. His willingness to engage actively with the captain demonstrates the collaborative approach being fostered within the T20I leadership structure.

Varma's performance in the role comes as India continues to build its middle-order batting options and develop future leadership talent within the squad. The vice-captaincy has provided him with an additional platform to influence team dynamics and contribute beyond his batting contributions alone.
