Tirumala Temple Ramps Up Safety Measures Ahead of Cyclone Murasu

The Additional Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has directed all departments to accelerate preparations for ensuring uninterrupted and safe darshan services as Cyclone Murasu advances toward the region. The temple administration is prioritizing pilgrim safety while maintaining the sanctity of worship at one of South India's most visited religious sites.

Key measures include expediting darshan scheduling to process devotees efficiently, establishing sheltered distribution points for Annaprasadam to protect pilgrims from adverse weather, and intensifying monitoring of vulnerable sections along the ghat roads leading to the shrine. These precautions are designed to prevent congestion and reduce exposure risks during the cyclonic conditions.

The TTD has also placed medical teams on high alert with enhanced readiness protocols. Emergency response units have been positioned strategically across the temple complex and access routes to address any health emergencies arising from the cyclone. The administration is coordinating with district authorities to ensure seamless coordination of relief and safety operations.

Temple officials are conducting regular reviews of weather updates and contingency plans. Additional staff have been deployed to manage crowd movement and assist elderly and vulnerable pilgrims navigating the temple premises during the cyclone period. The TTD has appealed to devotees to follow safety guidelines and check weather advisories before planning their visits.
