Tirupati hosted a high-profile launch event for the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' (Service Resolve Campaign) on Tuesday, with a towering 75-foot cutout of Prime Minister Narendra Modi serving as the centrepiece. The imposing structure underscored the national scale of the community service initiative being undertaken across the country.
Concurrent with the cutout's inauguration, organisers initiated an ambitious 75-hour non-stop drumming marathon, scheduled to run from October 7 to 10. The continuous percussion performance, executed with traditional folk drums, is being positioned as a record-breaking attempt aimed at securing recognition from the Guinness Book of Records.
The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' represents a broader commitment to service-oriented programmes across Indian communities. The Tirupati event combines ceremonial significance with the participation of local cultural traditions, leveraging the region's heritage of classical and folk music to amplify the campaign's message.
Organisers have mapped out logistics for maintaining the drumming marathon throughout its four-day duration, ensuring continuous participation while adhering to Guinness World Records guidelines for verification. The initiative reflects growing efforts to blend governmental programmes with grassroots cultural expression and community engagement across South India.
