Tirupati Police Enforce Traffic Restrictions Ahead of Garuda Seva Festival

The Tirupati Police Department has rolled out comprehensive traffic management plans to accommodate the influx of pilgrims traveling to the Tirumala temple during the Garuda Seva celebrations. The measures, effective from 9 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday, aim to ensure smooth vehicular movement and enhanced safety on the hill shrine route.

Two-wheeler traffic will be completely restricted on the Tirupati-Tirumala ghat road during the stipulated period, a key decision aimed at decongesting the mountain road. Authorities have urged devotees to utilize alternative transportation options to reach the sacred destination.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the temple management body, in coordination with the police, has advised pilgrims to prioritize APSRTC buses and TTD-operated vehicles for their journey. These designated transport services are equipped to handle the volume of worshippers expected during the festival period, offering a safer and more regulated travel experience.

Police officials have stationed personnel at key junctions and entry points to enforce the restrictions and guide traffic flow. The comprehensive approach reflects efforts to balance the religious significance of the event with public safety and infrastructure management concerns. Devotees are requested to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience during the peak festival hours.
