PORT KLANG — Motorists attempting to evade toll payments will be subject to automated tracking under Malaysia's new Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) toll collection system, according to the Works Ministry. The MLFF system, which eliminates traditional toll booths in favour of open-road tolling, is expected to be fully rolled out across Malaysian expressways in the coming months. The technology-driven approach aims to improve traffic flow while ensuring payment compliance through vehicle identification and monitoring mechanisms. The ministry has emphasised that the system will automatically flag non-compliant vehicles, enabling enforcement authorities to take appropriate action against toll defaulters. Motorists are being advised to ensure their toll accounts are properly maintained to avoid penalties and legal consequences under the new system.
