Tooro Kingdom Mourns King Oyo as Succession Dispute Emerges

King Oyo of the Tooro kingdom was buried following funeral rites that highlighted deepening divisions within the traditional domain located in southwestern Uganda. The kingdom's leadership announced a television news presenter as the designated heir to the throne, marking the official transition of power in one of Uganda's four major kingdoms.
