Top Eastern Visayas Drug Suspect Arrested in Leyte Police Operation

TACLOBAN CITY – The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 8 and Tolosa Municipal Police Station have arrested a high-level drug trafficking suspect identified as Eastern Visayas' top anti-drug priority target, along with an alleged associate, in a buy-bust operation conducted Monday in Barangay Tolosa, Leyte.
Police officers recovered approximately 117 grams of suspected methamphetamine, locally known as shabu, with an estimated street value of P795,600 from the suspects during the operation.
The arrests represent a significant development in the region's ongoing drug enforcement efforts. The suspects are currently in police custody pending further investigation and the filing of appropriate charges related to illegal drug trafficking.
Authorities have not yet disclosed additional details regarding the suspects' identities or the scope of their alleged drug operations in the Eastern Visayas region.
