Transport Ministry clarifies Nile Tech has no access to MyJPJ user data

The Ministry of Transport has moved to address concerns regarding data privacy in the MyJPJ portal by clarifying the scope of third-party involvement in insurance renewal services. According to the ministry, the insurance renewal feature functions solely as a redirect mechanism that directs users to Nile Tech's external portal to finalize their transactions. The ministry emphasised that this arrangement does not grant Nile Tech or any other service provider access to user data stored within the MyJPJ system. The clarification comes as the government continues efforts to maintain public confidence in digital government services. Malaysians seeking to renew vehicle insurance through MyJPJ will be guided to the Nile Tech portal, where they can complete the process independently without compromising their personal information held by the transport authority.
